RIGPA
The Buddhist education and training centre is sited in a pair of terraced houses laterally converted mid twentieth century when a single storey top lit workshop was added to the rear. The former workshop has accommodated their shrine room since moving in. The proposed design features a triple glazed lantern orientating the room towards the shrine, with gently sloping ‘green’ sedum roof improving the view from above. Careful lighting studies were carried out to create a naturally lit calm uplifting interior integrating mixed mode ventilation to provide a comfortable environment to positively support RIGPA activities.
