We were approached by Crampton Primary School to review their reception area, main school entrance and nursery circulation. We proposed an extension to the main school building to form a secure access point, sheltered entrance area for parents and a comfortable internal waiting area. We also considered what could be improved without extensive architectural intervention and carried out a review of the whole school circulation. We proposed a series of alterations to the school procedure for entry into the playground and the main building. As part of the review it became apparent that the most important alteration should concentrate on the main entrance, which lacked presence and definition.
