Ambitious College as a new model of provision that will better meet the needs of young people with autism in their communities make a real difference to their lives. Ambitious College is the only autism-specific independent specialist day college in the whole of London.
The charity have a College based in Barnet, soon to be demolished there is a need for re-housing these students. The charity have taken possession of the ground floor of a Grade II listed County School based within the Tottenham Green Conservation Area. The County school, completed in 1913, is robust and provides for the size and type of spaces that the college requires, but has a number of aspects which pose risks, such as extensive glazing, projecting cills, vulnerable pipework hot surfaces which would create opportunities for disruption, such as climbing or deliberate damage. 4orm have been working closely with the client to design and provide a suitable learning environment for the young adults whilst also retaining the character and heritage of this distinguished late Edwardian civic building.
